| Harbeth Monitor series: overview |
From the Monitor 20 through to the Monitor 40, these Harbeth professional speakers are widely used throughout the BBC in the UK and overseas by sound engineers who demand the most accurate and natural sound.
Central to the Harbeth design philosophy is that a well designed speaker should be both revealing and absolutely effortless to work with, just as if the performers are really in the room - which on the other side of the glass they actually are. Put a Harbeth monitor to the test with a "live-v-reproduced" comparison and Harbeth's Patented cone technology is absolutely unbeatable for natural reproduction.
The Harbeth monitor family was designed as a size for size drop-in replacement for the former BBC LS3/5a, LS5/9 and LS5/8 speakers, but are updated with the best drive unit, crossover and cabinet technology available. They are truly the last word in natural monitoring.

The Harbeth Monitor Series is supplied in a hard wearing fine-texture grey paint finish. The passive speakers accept Speakon 2 or 4 pole plugs and the active Monitor 40, a male 3-pin XLR for signal input into each speaker's amplifier box.
All Harbeth speakers are at their best away from walls and other reflective surfaces, ideally on open stands with the listener's ear on the tweeter axis.
