Alan went to Ireland for a short break recently. This song exactly describes his experience of finding a headline bargain flight on the internet that in fact cost ten times as much as the eye catching figure ..... !

Interview with boss of Ryan Air (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJCuYNvrE8g&feature=related) here ....

The reality of cheap flights (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPyl2tOaKxM) (as experienced by Alan himself attempting to fly to Dublin, July 2011 ...).

Book here (http://www.ryanair.com/en) or here (http://www.easyjet.com/asp/en/book/index.asp?lang=en) or here (http://www.aerlingus.com/home/index.jsp). Any way, you're screwed.

Thanks for sharing. If it wasn’t so true it would be even funnier.

The government here had some sense to put a floor under this whole economy flight caboodle. Some called it protectionism but in hindsight the decision makes some sense.

What we don’t know and can’t see is one thing eg aircraft maintenance. What we do know is even more worrying. Here, at least 2 different (budget) airlines have been brought to task for disregard for safe flying.

One of the airlines in question…

This airline has been highlighted for flying below and out of managed air space, being inadequately trained for non standard landing skills (is that saying they do not have necessary skills to land other than on autopilot?).
