It's called Bitperfect (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bitperfect/id455545700?mt=12).
I played around with some of the betas and it seems quite good in both function and some improved sound quality over iTunes native playback. Seems like a bargain relative to the price of some of the competition (Pure Music and Amarra) if all you're after is on the fly sample rate switching in the background, native flac support and some improved SQ without leaving the iTunes interface. Oh, and the thread (http://www.head-fi.org/t/553416/bitperfect-was-audirvana-alternatives/285) on its development where I discovered it.
