Dear Alan,

Friends around the world, Congratulations! Keep on contacting, exchanging, sharing, supporting and music-loving inside all our audiophile family!

Mr. Shaw, indeed a great job you have done in re-organizing and grouping the Harbeth Community!

Best Regards from a very sunny -although mid-winter- Athens,

Hello Thanos,

Thank you and hello from a 0?C England!

We have great hopes and plans for this little community. You are most welcome. (I wish I was in Greece right now!)

Congrats Alan,
it'll take a little time before I get used to the new system but it looks as if it'll be worthwhile, especially as it's under your control.
Can we post attachments and if so, are there any size limits or rules you would like us to follow?

regards to all Harbeth users

Hello Paul,

Always good to have experienced BBC sound engineers here! I know this new group looks a bit daunting, but we've turned off many unwanted features and left just the the useful bits.

Yes, please do "post". We've made one of two tests but there is no reason why not to let rip! You might find that the ability to view an entire thread is especially useful.

My colleague Ivan in Antwerp, Belgium - the mastermind behind both the web site and the HUG - has many years experience with the database engine underneath this group. I am therefore confident in its durability.

It's encouraging to see Harbeth's commitment to this type of forum.

I'll do my best to keep up, but fundamentally it's *your* forum.

Great job Alan! You really moved quickly on the new newsgroup. Continued success with Harbeth and I'll be sure to point any Harbeth users to the new site.

Hello to Alan and to all:

I have missed my fix of Harbeth and general audio chit-chat.

I'm glad we're back together.

Could it be that it's time for a group HUG?

PS: It's great to have the edit feature.

Looks great, Alan! Now if I can just figure out why I'm not getting instant e-mails of all the new posts . . . . Maybe I will now that I've posted once.

I think that you will find that feature under your ** User CP ** (= User's Control Panel).

Congratulations on the "new" user group. It's looking very good already.

Good new forum, but had some difficulties to register, I would change my user name here, but do not know how.

04-02-2006, 10:44 AM
Hello -

Have you now registered OK?

04-02-2006, 01:01 PM
Now OK, but I would change my username, just found how I could change email or password or so on, didn't find where I could change my username.

How cool to be called a Junior Member. It's a while since I've had the word 'junior' applied to me anywhere!

And, Congratulations again!
I have never experienced before the joy of an incoming e-mail from my speakers' construction company WISHING ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Alan keeps the files of his fans with birthdays automatically being shown and wishes travel around the world to each one of us.
This an exceptionally nice feature, that reninds and proves the -beyond & above any typical relation- level of this special relation Harbethians have with the company and the club. Lets keep it this way and this high!
Warmest regards from Athens with temp. over 30 degrees!
