I have been auditioning amps for a while and I like the Bryston BP26/4B SST pre/power combination. Did any of you try the 4B SST and were you able to compare it to the 3B SST. Is there a difference in between the 3B SST's and 4B SST's presentation? Bryston say that they should sound the same, but others have begged to differ...
Did any of you use the Plinius 9200 integrated amp with the Harbeths? I would be grateful if you could let me know how this combination sounds.
Many thanks for your thoughts (-:

I have listened to M40s with either a Plinius 9100 or 9200, not sure which it was. The source was a Sony CD changer with some unknown DAC. The sound was fantastic.

The Plinius 9100 is, IMHO, the better sounding amp of the two. Reliability is something of an issue with Plinius gear. Really I think you could hook up Harbeth's to just about anything and they would sound great.

Thanks guys. It was really helpful to hear about your experiences with Plinius. Anyone amped the HL5s with the Bryston BP26/4B SST? I've been listening to it more and more and it sounds bloody fantastic. I would be grateful for your views

Have you considered a tube amp?I use a Copland CTA 405 with my HL5's and the sound is incredible. CD player is a Arcam FMJ CD17 and turntable Thorens TD2010 with SME tonearm and Music Maker cartridge. Just need my sklans and I'm pretty much done!
