As of today, I own a new pair of rosewood Compact 7ES-3s, and I'm very happy with them. Thank you for making such great speakers!

welcome to music paradize. Prepaer for truely beautiful sound and revealing character. If you hear any fault sonic you not heard before from your lovely albums...do not fault the speakers..the 7 just show you the true color.

Cheers!!

Welcome, evs71!

And you know what the best part is? You'll love them just as much in five years as you do right now...an endless Honeymoon!

Enjoy!

I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning before I can take a picture of them in natural light. Attached is a picture of the top of one of the C7s as it came out of the box. The rosewood color and finish can be seen fairly clearly.

Congratulations evs71. Have you run your palm over the compacts yet? Down the sides (both) and along the top. It has become almost a weekly routine of mine (sometimes more often), and almost each time after a listen :0) enjoy!.

Thank you all. Kittykat, I keep a 10 gauge in my listening room just to make sure nothing ever touches the revered C7s. To each their own. Yee haw.

ok, im not going anywhere near your locality then, but i hear leadshot makes good ballast for speaker stands.
