  1. Not really a new review

The main part of that review was published four years ago. No wonder it looked so familiar.
The reviewer just added a small section on the end of the original review.
  2. Tweeter insight

Thank you Alan for a very lucid explanation behind the tweeter selection process.
  3. Thanks!

I want to thank you Alan (again) for taking the time to educate on aspects of recorded and reproduced sound. It is appreciated!

    Examples please...

OK Maccar, I'm going to call you out on this one. Please provide some examples of "better looking speakers at that price point." Understanding of course that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

    Balanced approach to cables

Thanks for the nice, sane post Steve. People get too excited about cables.

It hurts! Listener report No. 14

Track A becomes fatiguing quite quickly. Too crisp and shallow.
Track B is more "rounded" and relaxing. More musical.

Finding words for what I heard is an interesting exercise in itself.
  8. So true! Harbeth are incredible

I couldn't agree more. Besides the new C7s (yeah!), everything else in my system is used and sounds great.

The unfortunate variability of recordings ....

I just recieved my first pair of Harbeths, eucalyptus C7s, and have noticed this very effect. Some recordings (and radio) sound flat and lifeless; then I panic that I bought the wrong speakers. ...
  11. Gramophone review

This very performance was recently featured in the Gramophone magazine archives: http://www.gramophone.net/Page/View/280/Britten%20conducts%20the%20first%20recording%20of%20Peter%20Grimes

  12. The grim reality of analogue

When I still played vinyl I noticed this effect one day. At the beginning of an LP side with the volume quite high, I could hear the music on the next groove of the record. What's imprinted in one...

    Great video

Thanks for letting us see "behind the curtain" at Harbeth.
Very enlightening stuff. More videos please, as time allows.
  14. Refinishing photos?

Care to post some photos? This is the first time I've ever heard of someone refinishing their Harbeths.
    You're a brave man...
  15. Monoblocks

Great looking system, I love the simplicity. Those monoblocks are beautiful!

    Win 7 /Firefox

It played fine under Windows 7 using Firefox 6.0.2. I liked the vintage Radio-Gramophone ad.
