I have not before seen iTunes friendly downloads available from Gimell. Perhaps this development is tied to the launch of the iCloud.

Even if this sort of music is not your normal choice I recommend you grab the free track for a listen.

This material would be excellent for a "can you hear the difference between 176/88.2/44.1 @ 24 bit and 16 bit" type test. I've already done the conversions from the 176 original.

It would be an excellent test.

I have other Gimmell recordings at 24/96. I cannot hear the difference if I down-sample, and I have 16/44.1 FLACs from ripped CDs that are as good as these excellent Gimmell recordings.

But let it run: it would be fun.
