They are SP-1s made in Germany by liedtke metalldesign . Their web site is very comprehensive and equally confusing!http://www.liedtke-metalldesign.de/
A-ha! Thanks guys.. yes very confusing website, and my Chrome translator doesn't seem to like it either. I can gather those stands are between 4-500 euros though - very nice, any one here used them?
On a much cheaper note, has anyone tried the Atacama SL series?
Agreed. I think I'm going to take the plunge and go for the Atacamas for now. Looks like a great, sturdy, simple stand with a top and bottom plate of 300mm width and depth. Excellent value for money.
If anyone else out there has tried them do let me know.
The three shown in the picture look just right for (high to low) Compact 7's, SHL 5's, and Monitor 40's. Fill them up with kitty litter a la Noel at Skylan and you're in business!

Still working hard on new stands (as promised).
But until then I found the version "balsa" (bamboo actually is) Nesna from IKEA.
There is no cheaper and elegant version for only 7 pounds each.
For those who want to try, must know that decoupling between speaker and stand is by 3 points.
Cheers
